April is the month of stress awareness. Did you know that stress falls into three main categories? These are; acute stress, episodic stress and chronic stress. While some amount of stress is necessary for our resilience and our survival, long-term stress has a very negative impact on our problem solving abilities, our sleep, our cardiovascular health and even our weight. It is important to pay attention to our physical movement, our diet, our mindset and our sense of relaxation in order to bring better balance to our lives and our health.
